ASA Filament

ASA Filament

ASA filament is a durable, UV-resistant 3D printing material designed for strong, functional parts that need to hold up indoors or outdoors. ASA, short for Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate, is often used as an alternative to ABS when improved resistance to sunlight, weather exposure, and outdoor aging is needed.

Made from premium ASA resin, this filament produces parts with excellent UV stability, good mechanical strength, and strong thermal performance. It’s a great choice for outdoor fixtures, brackets, mounts, machine accessories, signage, enclosures, jigs, shop-use parts, and other prints that may be exposed to heat, sunlight, or demanding environments.

Each spool is manufactured in the USA by Push Plastic using 100% virgin ASA resin, then vacuum-sealed with desiccant to help preserve print quality. The 1kg spools are also compatible with most multi-material systems, including Bambu Lab AMS.

Key Features

  • Premium ASA filament with excellent UV resistance
  • Great choice for outdoor and weather-exposed applications
  • Strong alternative to ABS when outdoor durability is needed
  • Excellent mechanical and thermal properties
  • Good impact resistance and dimensional stability
  • Ideal for brackets, mounts, enclosures, signage, fixtures, machine accessories, and functional parts
  • Manufactured in the USA by Push Plastic
  • Made from 100% virgin resin
  • Vacuum-sealed with desiccant
  • 1kg spool compatible with most multi-material systems, including Bambu Lab AMS

Recommended Print Settings

  • Extruder Temperature: 240–260°C
  • Bed Temperature: 90–110°C
  • Nozzle: 0.4mm or larger
  • Layer Height: 0.16–0.28mm depending on desired detail and strength
  • Print Speed: 30–60mm/s as a starting range
  • Enclosure: Strongly recommended

Printing Tips

ASA prints best in an enclosed printer to help maintain a stable chamber temperature and reduce warping. Use a clean, ASA-compatible build surface and allow the part to cool gradually before removing it from the bed. For best results, dry the filament before printing and store it sealed when not in use.

Because ASA is commonly used for stronger functional parts, slower print speeds and proper temperature tuning can help improve layer adhesion, strength, and surface finish.
